    Good location

    Overall rating: 5/10 The property is located in a good area of Valletta and has the charm of a traditional Maltese building, which we appreciated. However, our stay was affected by several issues that were not apparent from the listing. There is a major construction site very close to the property. During our stay, demolition and building works created significant noise and dust, particularly in the mornings, making it difficult to relax or sleep with the windows open. The kitchen had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, especially from the cupboards, which appeared yellowed from previous smoke exposure. The smell transferred to crockery and kitchen items, requiring us to wash everything before use. The first two floors had a noticeable damp and mouldy smell. To improve ventilation, we had to keep windows open, but this then exposed us to noise and dust from the nearby construction works. There were also no blankets provided, which made it uncomfortable to use the terrace during cooler evenings. Most importantly, my husband suffers from asthma, and the combination of dust, dampness and smoke odours had a negative impact on his comfort and enjoyment of the holiday. The host was polite and responsive when contacted, but overall the accommodation did not fully meet the expectations created by the advertisement. Guests with respiratory conditions may wish to consider these points before booking.

    Fantastic views from roof terrace

    Location and view were fantastic.

    There was building noise next door - jack hammering concrete from 7am, but this would be an incidental issue.
