    Great location, poorly maintained, massively overpriced

    Great location in Randwick.

    Room smelt funny, furniture, particularly outside furniture was worn and run down. The bathroom/shower needed a good clean. Weird squares of carpet missing around the bed. Extremely difficult car park.

    Very practical, comfortable room, close to shops and public transport

    The room was quiet, a bit old-fashioned but very clean and very comfortable. It also had a great balcony and a view across Randwick.

    I paid extra for a parking space but the space allotted to me was way too tight, and I only had a small rented car. It was difficult to back into because it was against a wall and if I had been carrying a passenger, they would not have been able to get out. The parking space was the only negative, so if you need to book a parking space, check beforehand where it will be located.

    It was spacious and convenient for the University.

    Unfortunately there was a bad smell that developed from the day we arrived and worsened over the next day. It was awful by the time we got back on Sat afternoon. I called the property but no-one could come and check as the place is unmanned over weekends. We ended up checking out that night and moving somewhere else. The Veriu did apologise and give us a refund but all so inconvenient as we were only there a short time. The shower also leaked and wifi was weak.
