Nice location, but not as advertised

The biggest disappointment was the air conditioning. The listing advertised air conditioning, but in reality there was only a single portable unit that was only able to cool the kitchen area. The bedroom had only a small fan, and the apartment never cooled down properly. During the night the bedroom temperature remained above 27°C, making it very difficult to sleep. When we tried to discuss this with the host, instead of acknowledging our concerns, we were accused of trying to take advantage of Booking.com and of making things up. This reaction was completely unexpected, especially since we were not asking for any compensation—we only wanted to point out the problem. There were also visible signs of water damage beneath the air conditioner, including peeling plaster and water stains. The host explained that previous guests had failed to empty the condensation container, but as guests we do not expect to deal with maintenance issues or explanations like this. The freezer still contained leftover ice creams from previous guests, and some of the furniture was quite worn, with torn upholstery on the chairs. Another issue is the parking. Despite the description, parking is **outside** the property rather than inside it. The available spaces are either along the roadside near a bend, which felt unsafe for a larger SUV, or farther away behind bushes or between other buildings where the car is out of sight. Every morning I worried that the vehicle might have been damaged. Overall, the apartment has potential thanks to its quiet location and cleanliness, but the inaccurate description of the air conditioning and parking, together with the host's unwillingness to acknowledge any issues, left us disappointed. Unfortunately, we would choose different accommodation next time.
