  When we booked our stay at the Old Police Station, we never expected to be sleeping in a former prison cell! It was such a wonderful surprise and made our stay a truly unique and unforgettable experience. The room has been beautifully transformed, keeping its character and history while offering comfort and charm. Thank you for giving us the chance to experience something so special — we absolutely loved it!

  The area seemed nice, although we only managed to see parts of it in the dark. The property provides all the facilities listed such as a microwave, kettle, fridge and kitchenet area etc.

  We had booked the converted prison cell rooms, but when we arrived we were taken to a converted office room, we didn't comment on this at first as we wanted to check the booking was correct, but once Ziggy had left we checked the booking and confirmed we had been put in the wrong room. As there were already guests staying in the prison cell rooms we were unable to request to move. The longer we stayed in the room the more we noticed how unclean it was. The shower tray was stained yellow and the glass was water marked showing it had not been cleaned between guests. The outside plastic tray of the shower was covered in yellow grime. The toilet and bathroom floor was dusty and covered in hairs, and had obviously not been deep cleaned between guests. In the main bedroom the windowsills were dusty and dirty hand prints could be seen on the TV. The window in the hallway was nailed open and it could not be shut come evening. Overall the room had a smell like a public toilet. The towels provided were musty and smelled damp and we were told one towel was missing but it would be hung on our door in the evening, the towel never arrived. We tried to obtain alternative accomodation elsewhere as were too uncomforable to stay, but due to it being a bank holiday weekend, we were unable to secure an alternative and were forced to stay the night. We ended up cutting our holiday short and left the next morning. The evening we arrived we sent and honest message to Ziggy with our feedback and advised we would be leaving the next morning. We did not receive acknowledgement of the message. When we left the next morning Ziggy did come down to see us and confirmed they had double booked and put us in a different room to the one we booked and apologised.
