    This was our first visit to the Algarve, and we used Vila do Castelo as our base to explore. The central location in Al

    Vila do Castelo is a tidy little property that offers a quiet stay just minutes away from Albufeira. The unit was clean and housekeeping staff showed up regularly to take away the garbage and replace the towels. The kitchen was stocked with the bare minimum but with a little creativity we were able to prepare and serve our evening meals.

    The beds are rock hard!! No laundry facilities on site - we knew that going in, but it turned out to be much more of an inconvenience than we thought. Smokers should be put on the top level - we had a smoker below us and we couldn’t leave the doors or windows open due to the smoke wafting in from below.
