  Excellent location but maintenance and cleanliness let it down

  We stayed as two adults, a five-year-old child and our dog. The location is undoubtedly the property's strongest feature. The house is right next to a forest with walking trails, making it ideal for dog walks and family outings. The neighbourhood is quiet, with no through-traffic, and supermarkets, snackbars and restaurants are conveniently close by. The house is spacious and entirely on one level, which is particularly convenient when travelling with a dog and children. The garden is lovely, with several pleasant seating areas and plenty of sunshine even in October. The large private garage and EV charging station are also excellent features. There is a good selection of board games, toys and books for children. The host was pleasant during her initial visit and subsequently respected our privacy. Overall The location, garden, spacious layout and dog-friendly surroundings are excellent, but the cleanliness and maintenance problems substantially detracted from the experience. With proper upkeep, this could be a very good holiday home.

  Maintenance and cleanliness were significant disappointments. The shower thermostat was broken, with very hot water that was difficult to regulate. The toilet sink tap also randomly ran very hot, and the main bathroom door would not lock. The shower mat was mouldy and the jacuzzi was visibly dirty. The house smelled musty, bedroom windows could not be opened, and the heating did not work properly. The kitchen appliances were unreliable or poorly maintained, the knives were blunt (I sharpened them myself), and the dishwasher lacked salt and rinse aid. The coffee machine displayed a descaling warning. The bed linen smelled stale, the children's beds creaked, and there were numerous stink bugs indoors. The garage door remote was missing, requiring manual operation from outside. A washing machine would be useful, and the €10 nightly dog charge is worth factoring into the cost. Some concerns resemble those mentioned in earlier reviews, yet they remained unresolved during our stay.

  Fijne grote villa met mooie tuin

  Heel mooie ruimte villa van alle gemakken voorzien. Ook mooie tuin met hottub en grenzend aan een bos met wandelpaadjes.

  Genieten van alle rust in een mooie omgeving! Tot ziens Jan en Sonja!

  Nette vakantiewoning! Slaapkamers: luxe bedden, genoeg kasten om spullen weg te leggen. Ruime zithoeken met zicht op de prachtige tuin. In alle rust genieten van de jacuzzi en ondertussen de hondjes in 't oog houden op het terras. Airco. Heel sympathieke eigenaars. Mooie fietsroutes.

  Weinig verluchting in slaapkamers en badkamer (maar dat wisten we). Kleine badkamer waar wel alles aanwezig was.
