  Old quiet villa with character and charm

  We loved that the location wasn't in the busy and loud part if Seminyak, meaning it was quiet and felt safe, but was not so far that we couldn't easily walk or get a GRAB somewhere. The other villas in the lane have security on from 4pm all through the night to the early morning adding to the feeling of security! We were 5 adults visiting for 1 week for a friend's wedding. So we did not need a fancy all inclusive stay. Just some where big, relaxing and secure. We definitely felt this way. Our host Koming checked in with us regularly and was prompt at replying no matter the time and request! House keeping were great also. Concierge organised in villa massages for us, we booked a service each and had 5 staff attend to complete our services at the same time. I had a lovely 1hr foot massage by the pool which was lovely! The bus to and from the airport was great and when we got lost and confused in the airport our driver face timed us to direct us where to go to find him! The drivers were both very helpful with bags and had friendly chats with us. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, cooking pots and pans, gas cook top, coffee machine kettles and a big fridge. So you can definitely cook and prepare your own meals! Which is fantastic!

  This is an old villa. So it is definitely a little run down, which I have addressed maintenance feedback with Koming. But if you want a flashy villa with no signs of wear and life this is probably not the villa for you. If you want convenience of location this may not the villa for you as most shopping hubs and night life was between 15mins to 50mins walk.. or a short ride in a GRAB.

  Uninhabitable, mouldy, stay elsewhere!

  The pool was nice, and the design elements in bedrooms and bathrooms were quite cool.

  The location wasn't good. The entrance to the pool was on the fence side making it hard for kids and older people to get in and out. It wasn't very clean and the bathrooms were mouldy and very smelly with no way of ventilating them unless you wanted lots of bugs and mosquitoes to come in. The beds were hard. The outdoor couch had stains on it and the previous occupants hair on it. We found two cigarette butts floating in the pool. There were too many tripping hazards for my kids and parents. The rooms had thin sheets as curtains so weren't dark, even at night. We had some heavy rain and the bathroom roof started leaking profusely. We informed management and they sent someone to look while we were out and they dismissed our concerns saying there was no leak. Later that night it then leaked a lot more. We informed them again and this time they wanted to send tradesmen to fix the leak the next day. We didn't want the intrusion and, given the state of the rest of the property decided to move to another villa (which was amazing by the way). We weren't able to get a refund for the remaining 3 nights we were meant to stay as per their policy - despite the leak and the fact that the property was uninhabitable. Overall we did not enjoy our stay at Villa Amsa and wouldn't recommend it. Plenty of other beautiful villas in Bali for the same price.

  Perfect!

  The villa is so beautiful, so much character. Not like the villas that are being build in Bali now. It's exceptional!
