Wonderful, tranquil villa, with welcoming and helpful hosts
We loved our stay in Villa Andrew, the villa was idyllic, set in a quite spot on a hillside about 5 minutes drives from Frikes. We were met by the owners when we arrived and they were so friendly and helpful, booking us into nearby Yefuri restaurant for dinner that night and other restaurants the following nights. Andrew had arranged a taxi to pick us up from the ferry and our taxi driver Dimitris (and his lovely wife) were our taxi drivers for our stay. A car / mopeds would have been good but you can manage without. The villa was spotless, the view from the upstairs bedroom of olive trees and towards the sea is stunning. We loved the outside eating space, it was so peaceful. Afales beach which is beautiful is a 15 minute walk (there's nothing there, no loungers or taverna so taking food and umbrella) and the colour of the water was incredible and crystal clear. Coming back was uphill and hot in mid August, Andrew's dad offered to take us and collect us and we should have said yes! Again it'd be easy breezy with a car. There's a lovely selection of restaurants by Frikes port. We also had a fabulous boat trip with Costas from Almeira boat trips who took us to some fantastic and secluded bays with great snorkelling. We loved, loved our stay, it was off the beaten track and felt like authentic Greece which is what we wanted but there was still plenty to do and will be back (we went with our three adult children 19, 20, 21 who all loved it too).

The villa is in a wonderful location. Very quiet and cozy. It's a beautiful, comfortable house with excellent furniture and everything you need. I especially loved the opportunity to spend time outdoors and enjoy the picturesque views. There's an excellent tavern nearby, and Odysseus's Palace is a short walk away. I'd also like to mention the hosts – incredibly friendly, responsive, and warm-hearted people who truly strive to make their guests' stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
