Gorgeous swimming pool & nearby beach
Highly recommend for a family stay from late spring to early autumn period. Beautiful villa with large and well-maintained garden, fantastic outdoor pool area and great outdoor facilities. Excellent location, approx. 10-15 min drive from Syracuse. 2 min car drive or 10 min walking distance to a gorgeous & free beach: Spiaggia dell'Arenella with beautiful surroundings. There is also a great local coffee shop / bakery with great service (Cafe Arenella) 2 min walk from the villa. The villa has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers & toilets + an additional toilet downstairs. In addition, there is an outdoor toilet & shower facility next to the pool. 2 large fridge are available in the kitchen. Suitable for a large family or group of friends. The villa owner was responsive and happy to help quickly when we contacted them: e.g. to bring blankets due to cold weather and to arrange repairs after a storm that caused leaks in the roof.
We visited during October half-term and the villa was not well equipped for cooler period when people may spend more time outdoors. 8 of us stayed at the villa, but there was no comfortable seating for all 8 people to sit indoors in the same area. Some of the beds were quite uncomfortable. The bathroom facilities could do with some updating - most of the showers were broken or did not function properly and we could only get hot water consistently in the downstairs bathroom. The kitchen was poorly equipped with only basic items. The toaster did not function. There was no kettle. No dishwasher.
