  The views, pool, and surrounding plantation were beautiful, the property itself had several issues.

  We stayed at this property hoping for a relaxing getaway, but unfortunately our experience did not meet expectations. There was a strong damp smell throughout the house, with spider webs, ants, and even centipedes inside. Many lights didn’t work, the outside room lock was broken, and several showers had low water pressure or ran out of hot water quickly. The kitchen only had cold water, and the pool shower had no door. Cleanliness was below standard—towels and sheets smelled damp, and the BBQ and utensils were dirty. Basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a coffee machine (as advertised) were missing. We also discovered that the “hot tub” mentioned in the listing was not functional. Overall the maintenance, cleanliness, and accuracy of the listing were disappointing, especially for the high price we paid. The property has potential with its lovely setting, but it needs significant improvements and a more accurate listing for future guests.

  The house has a lot of character and a beautiful but rather small pool. It's a short distance from Icod which has lots of lovely bars and restaurants but it's too steep a hill to walk. The owner was very helpful when we needed something.

  It's not one house. Two bedrooms are outside of the main house which isn't great for younger kids. The drive to the house from the road is very narrow. You can't have anything bigger than a medium car which is still quite precarious. We were unlucky with the weather, it' was heavy thick cloud most days which I now understand to be quite common for the north side.
