  **A wonderful villa and exceptional hospitality** We stayed at Villa Emily near Rethymno from 20–28 August with four children and two adults, and our experience was extremely positive. The villa itself is beautiful, very clean and exceptionally well equipped. Everything you could need is available: plenty of towels, pool toys for the children, good refrigeration and air conditioning, as well as small but very useful things such as spices, toiletries and other basics. It really feels like a house that has been prepared with care rather than just a holiday rental. What made our stay particularly memorable, however, was the hospitality of the owners. They welcomed us with delicious homemade jam and fresh fruit and regularly shared tips about places to visit and good restaurants in the area. Halfway through our stay they came to change the towels, and every morning the swimming pool was cleaned and the rubbish taken away. The location is also excellent for exploring Rethymno and the surrounding area. We visited in late August and had beautiful weather throughout our stay, which made an already wonderful holiday even better. Villa Emily is a place we would recommend without hesitation, especially for families. Excellent accommodation, thoughtful hosts and a level of service that goes well beyond what we normally expect from a holiday rental. A holiday we will definitely remember!

  Hervorragend

  Die Villa mit dem Pool ist einfach traumhaft und wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Emily und Ihr Mann Manolis sind sehr herzliche und freundliche Gastgeber. Sie haben sich hervorragend um uns gekümmert und dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns vom ersten Moment an rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Die Lage ist ruhig - lediglich die Zikaden sorgen tagsüber für eine typische mediterrane Geräuschkulisse. Ohne Auto sind das Meer und die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten allerdings etwas weiter entfernt. Zwar befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle in der Nähe, der öffentliche Verkehr ist jedoch leider nicht immer zuverlässig. Das nächstgelegene Geschäft ist zudem teuer. Trotzdem hatten wir einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Danke Emily und Manolis für alles. P.S. Vor allem auch für das Organisieren der Pizzas bei unserer Ankunft.

  Amazing villa, Amazing Host

  The villa's living space is massive! The pool area is fantastic, plenty of shaded areas throughout the day. Emily the owner, was very quick with responding to any questions. She also sent loads of recommendations for both food and day visits. The outdoor dining tables (both front of the house and in the garden) were great areas for morning and evening meals.

  A few kitchen items were missing but Emily delivered these to us as soon as I mentioned it to her.

  Wish we could stay longer!

  We usually stay in hotels, but this time we decided to book a villa—so happy we chose this! The villa is set in a peaceful location with gorgeous views. Close to restaurants and the beach with a Supermarket down the road. The villa itself was spacious, modern and had very comfortable beds! The hosts were welcoming and friendly, always available to help without being intrusive. It was super clean and well stocked which added to the comfort level. Great outdoor areas- something for everyone. Sunny pool area, with umbrellas for shade. The stunning views, made it so easy to relax!
