  Beautiful villa in secluded location let down by water supply issues and poor wifi

  The location is very beautiful and secluded, pool was big, the grounds are extensive so a big feeling of space. It has lovely views over the valley. The owner kindly left us some fruit and vegetables - the oranges were particularly good as there is a press in the villa as other reviewers mention. The villa is large with 4 bedrooms though they only permit a maximum occupancy of 6. We made inquiries about the 4th bedroom as at one stage our party looked like it would be 6 spread across 4 bedrooms - but we only ended up with 2 staying there. The fans were an essential addition in the bedrooms - as it was very hot when we stayed and having windows open at night is not practical as no mosquito mesh at the windows. Plenty of shaded areas around the villa and lots of seats/sun loungers too.

  The worst problem we encountered was the water supply being cut off twice whilst we were there. The first time it happened we went out for a few hours and it was back by the time we returned. But since the owner only turned up the following morning with a plumber - he seemed unaware that the water was ok by then. Then two days later it went off again - this time it came back on without any intervention. We contacted Escape Homes about this and the fact that dishwasher stopped working mid-week - probably owing to the water supply issue. They came but didn't fix the DW. The Wifi is poor as other reviewers mention - it only works well in the lounge but very low speeds. Knowing this we took our own portable starlink satellite dish which worked fine )about 20 times the speed and importantly gave us wifi on the patio. Comms there are important as there's no phone reception so we needed to tell Escape Homes about the water problem and also wanted to reliably chat to our friends who were on the island to make evening arrangements.

  On est seul au monde ! Loin de la foule estivale. Pas un bruit hormis celui de la nature environnante 😍. Un verger (orangers, pommiers, ...) et un potager (tomates, melons, pastèques, ...) courent jusqu'en bas du "ravin" (accessible à pieds en promenade sans aucune difficulté). Une personne passe régulièrement mais en toute discrétion (la propriété est vaste) pour l'entretien extérieur et le ramassage des fruits et légumes. Nous avons eu la chance d'en profiter 🥰. La piscine est grande et la température de l'eau est idéale surtout en plein été ! La maison est bien équipée et propre. Il fait encore un peu chaud la nuit mais les chambres sont équipées de ventilateurs. Il ne faut pas oublier que la maison se situe en pleine nature et que la faune reprend ses droits la nuit tombée. Pas de tigres ni de vautours 🤭 mais il peut arriver qu'il y ai quelques petits curieux attirés par l'eau de la piscine ou de la nourriture oubliée. Il est donc nécessaire de jeter régulièrement les poubelles dans les conteneurs de tris situés dans les villes ou villages voisins. L'emplacement de la maison est idéal pour profiter des plages et visiter l'île mais la voiture est indispensable. L'Agence est très réactive et reste disponible en cas de problème. On a adoré !!!

  Belle villa dans un paysage d'exception !!

  Jolie villa pleine de charme rustique et très confortable en pleine nature. Très belle piscine avec une vue incroyable. Cadre unique en son genre mais si n'aimez pas être isolés, passez votre chemin.

  Pas de 4 G. Wifi irrégulière

  Orario di Check-in dovrebbe essere un pochino prima (per le 14:30-15:00 massimo) - Check-out un pochino più tardi (non le 10:00 ma le 10:45 almeno). Anche in considerazione del prezzo sarebbe corretto permettere agli ospiti più agio .
