    Arona is a nice little city to stay and plan your holidays around the Lago Maggiore.

    We started of on the wrong foot. It wasn't clear to the owner if we rented Gabri 1 or 2. On our confirmation it said Gabri 1 and 2, and we paid for the apartment with 3 bedrooms, although we were with 4 adults because one of the apartments had only 1 bedroom for adults, the other one was for 2 children with small beds. We booked for 4 adults and a dog. The bigger apartment is furnished with antiques and heirlooms, so it's understandable that preferably no dogs are allowed. Luckily the owner was accommodating and our doggy could stay. The apartment is well equipped and taken care of. The garden is wonderful. Walking distance to the Lidle and to the center of Arona.

    We knew that there wouldn't be a separate toilet, but that would have been very convenient. The road in front of the house is very busy.

    Sylvia and Jimmy were very communicative and easy to deal with in renting the villa.

    Lovely back garden and big dining room. The split level was perfect for our two families.

    No view of the lake.
