  We paid for something we did not want.

  Location and cleanliness

  The property was not as described in the listing. It is advertised as an entire villa, but in reality, the accommodation is a duplex apartment forming part of a shared villa, with the host living in another apartment within the same property. There is no private entrance, as you have to pass directly in front of the host’s outdoor living area. The pool is also not private, as it is shared with the host’s family. The BBQ area is likewise shared. There were also several other issues. We were told through the Booking.com message thread that there would be air conditioning in every bedroom, but this was not the case. There was also no hot water in the upstairs bedrooms. Additionally, there were several dogs directly underneath our balcony, which resulted in frequent barking. The rest of the issues were relatively minor and things we could have lived with. However, the main concern is that the property and facilities provided did not match what was advertised or what was communicated to us before booking. The only reason we stayed was because it was the busiest week of summer and, after discovering these issues, we were unable to find alternative accommodation. Overall, we were very disappointed, particularly because we booked the property based on the description and information provided on Booking.com.

  A great getaway surrounded by nature with amazing hospitality from our host, Maurizio.

  We had a fantastic time at Villa immersa nel verde dell'Etna! The location is absolutely stunning — surrounded by greenery and peaceful nature, it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of Mount Etna. Our host, Maurizio, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He was quick to reply to all our messages and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the wonderful lunch he generously offered us — delicious and made with care, it really made us feel at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with genuine Sicilian hospitality. We’d love to come back!

  It was lovely and clean. The family were tea friendly and made us a lovely meal when we arrived.

  A beautiful property and great owner.

  The setting is beautiful and the property is clean and spacious. The pool area is fantastic. We loved exploring the local village and the other towns in the area. The owner Maurizio was incredibly helpful and gave us recommendations for restaurants and trips and helped us make bookings. Thank you Maurizio!
