Our hosts were so great, they checked with us on our arrival times and were flexible when we were running late. They also met us in person at the house on arrival and had prepared a little snack selection which was so thoughtful and lovely. The house itself was great, fairly newish bathrooms and kitchen facilities, spotlessly clean and super comfy. Strong aircon in main living area and all bedrooms and a tv in each bedroom and living area. The pool was amazing, and had mildly salty water rather than chlorine. A good size and we all loved it (family of 5, 3 kids). Pool floats were provided, and seating around the pool (pool loungers, lounge area under a brand new pergola) were so comfortable. The pool has an incredible view of mountains in the distance and felt super private and not overlooked at all. The area was super peaceful and quiet. We were close to a town with 2 good, large supermarkets for self catering (and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking and reheating food). The supermarkets pretty well priced, especially compared to the Adriatic coast town of Brela which is where we moved onto afterwards (and were shocked at the prices of supermarket items!!). We went to Krka national park on one of the days to Roski Slap, which was a close drive and went for a swim in the permitted area in the river which was super refreshing, as well as doing a boat trip to to Visac Island. Highly recommend doing both of these, it was (I understand) quieter than the main access points further south for Krka, and was just enough for us without feeling overwhelmed in the heat. And did I mention the pool? Because that alone was worth it. Book yourself a week or two here and just swim in the pool every day and look at the glorious view and read books and sip cold drinks. Heaven. We would have loved to stay for longer but it was booked out.
