  Die Größe des Hauses ist top. Der Pool mit Liegen ist super. Jedes Zimmer hat ein Bad. Handtücher sind vorhanden, auch für den Pool. Ausreichende Kochausstattung.

  We have just returned from 10 glorious days holiday at Villa Montanha, where we have not stayed before, but created memories that will last a lifetime. Joanne was extremely friendly, helpful and very quick to respond to any questions and info we needed and is the perfect host. There is also a really useful file with info in the lounge. I have never stayed anywhere, that is so well equipped and catered for every need. The Villa is stunning and extremely spacious. For us the total star of the show is the swimming pool - it was like having a hotel pool, all for ourselves. With a shallow end and a deep end suitable for bombing and diving and big enough for ball games, length swimming and inflatables at the same time! There are lots of fans inside, sun loungers, terraces, balconies and shaded areas. A fully equpped utility and pantry. There is a smashing full size table football, which saw a fair few tournaments, during our stay. We even saw some prem and carabao cup games on the TV. As well as nipping to the Pigs head sports bar near Burgau and Kellys bar in Luz. We were a group of every age from 2.5 years to 94 and it suited everyone's needs. There is a downhill walk into Luz, with lots of bar, restaurants and shops and a steep walk back. But with our age groups we were always going to just grab a cab (Darios local taxis) or uber, to Luz, Burgau and Lagos. There is a big private drive if you hire a car and the area where the villa is located, is very select. For us the location was perfect and benefitted from a very welcome breeze. We stocked up with food and drinks from Baptista in Luz, who also do local deliveries. They have a fab deli, bakery and butchers, and we had barbys using the outside barby area (loads of barby tools provided which went down well) and dined outside in the covered terrace, as well as eating out lots too.

  Der Pool ist großzügig und war gepflegt. Poolzubehör ,wie Schwimmreifen , war vorhanden. Saft und Wein zur Begrüßung.

  Leider können wir das Ferienhaus aufgrund der zahlreichen Mängel und Beeinträchtigungen nicht weiterempfehlen. Besonders enttäuschend war die Baustelle direkt neben dem Haus. Während unseres Aufenthalts kam es zu Baulärm. Gleichzeitig hatten die Bauarbeiter durch die unmittelbare Nähe einen direkten Einblick in den Garten- und Poolbereich, wodurch unsere Privatsphäre deutlich beeinträchtigt wurde. Auf die Baustelle und die damit verbundenen Einschränkungen wurde bei der Buchung leider nicht hingewiesen. Für unsere Buchungsentscheidung wäre diese Information sehr wichtig gewesen. Auch die Beschreibung der Lage empfanden wir als nicht zutreffend. Der Weg zum Strand und in die Stadt war deutlich länger und beschwerlicher als angegeben. Besonders der Rückweg zum Haus ist aufgrund des sehr steilen Anstiegs äußerst anstrengend. Leider gab es darüber hinaus zahlreiche weitere Punkte, die den Aufenthalt beeinträchtigt haben: Teilweise waren die Handtücher mit Chlorflecken versehen und rochen unangenehm. Die Küchenausstattung ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. In einem der unteren Schlafzimmer herrschte ein unangenehmer Schimmelgeruch, der Ventilator war stark verschmutzt. Im oberen Badezimmer ließ sich die Dusche kaum vernünftig nutzen, da das Wasser abwechselnd eiskalt oder sehr heiß war. Auch der Außenbereich machte keinen gepflegten Eindruck. Der Grillbereich war verschmutzt, benutzte Kohle wurde in Blumenkübeln entsorgt und der Rasen war vertrocknet. Das Poolhaus war unordentlich und enthielt alte Essensreste. Der Waschraum wirkte eher wie ein Abstellraum bzw. Mülllager, da sich dort zahlreiche zurückgelassene Dinge vorheriger Gäste in den Ecken und Regalen befanden. Insgesamt hat, das sicherlich ehemals schöne Haus, seine besten Jahre hinter sich. Besonders enttäuschend war für uns jedoch, dass unsere Hinweise und Beschwerden während des Aufenthalts beim Vermieter auf wenig bis gar kein Verständnis

  Overall, the villa was good but needs more TLC & attention to detail.

  Spacious villa for 8 people. Very clean. There were only 6 good sunbeds around the pool. 1 wooden sunbed was broken and another wooden one was not fit for purpose. Joanne sorted the sunbed shortage quickly for us.

  The building work on next doors villa, which looks directly over you when sunbathing, is still ongoing. A few days were disrupted by the noise. We were told that the work was to be completed June 2026. More communication required from you to keep us updated would have been well received. The Villa is at the top of a steep hill so not fit for the elderly or infirm and is a good 25-30 minute walk to the town. The pool was freezing despite it being August. Had asked about it being heated and were told it didn't need it in the summer but would disagree. The main bedroom en-suite bathroom taps run either boiling hot or cold water. We noted that this problem had been previously mentioned in the complaints book but had obviously been ignored. The pillows were too soft and recommend supplying alternatives to suit soft/hard preferences. BBQ provided but no coals supplied. Guests should not have to supply their own coal.
