    Parts of the road to the villa were a bit difficult to drive on.

    Not meeting expectations for the price listed

    Tuscany is absolutely beautiful and San Gimignano is an amazing little town inside it. The house is quite close to San Gimignano, but it's recommended to use a car to go to the town. The house is spacious and has many rooms.

    On arrival there was a very mouldy smell in the majority of the house. The smell was even worse in the small adjacent building which also has one of the bedrooms. One of the other bedrooms (in the main building) could not be used, most likely due to a leakage. I think they have some serious issues with the house that they need to fix. There are also a lot of small issues that didn't help with our stay. Thinks like leaking shower door (soaking the bath towel), rusty/broken toilet paper holders, lots of bugs (we got a spray can to kill them), not enough glasses as part of the kitchen equipment, no kettle to boil water, etc. The road to the house is a gravel road with major potholes in it. Be careful if you bring your own car! The property has a lot of potential, but it needs a lot of fixes to make it worth while. For the money I would book something else next time.
