Horribly and unnecessarily stressful. Villalia patronised us and did not take sufficient responsibility particularly for

    location. South facing, pleasant aesthetics.

Unheated pool. See photo. A heated pool was conditional on renting the villa The temperature was set to cool throughout the week so in spite of frequent visits from maintenance staff which ruined our privacy; it didn’t heat. We turned the dial to heat at the end of the week; it finally began to heat but that was by then too late. Smelly washing machine with black slime in the seal ( the smell affected the whole living area). These photographs were taken after they claimed to have cleaned it. We did finally use it and it made our clothes smell even when dry. Microwave did not work. Coffee machine leaking. Which they claimed in two separate emails to have replaced. Some blinds did not work; electrics fused, one day without hot water. Toaster didn’t work and fused a circuit. Dangerously, no lighting on steps to gate. After what were obviously lies some of these issues were addressed. None of these issues was as important to us as having a heated pool. The company refused compensation claiming that the offer of alternative accommodation in the middle of the week would suffice. It seemed in no way comparable with where we were staying.

AVOID - This villa has clearly declined since my previous stay.

The location and panoramic views are good, which makes the experience even more disappointing.

Villa Patricia – Decline, Safety Concerns & Poor Management This villa has clearly declined since my previous stay. Faulty sockets and non-working internal lights created real safety concerns. Villalia sent someone who couldn’t fix the issue, then claimed it was resolved when it wasn’t. When challenged, they sent another tradesman unannounced while we were in bed — unacceptable. Villalia refers to out-of-hours visits, pre-arrival checks and storms, but the photos show long-term maintenance issues, not storm damage, and problems that were never properly resolved. They also sought to communicate outside the Booking.com messaging system, reducing transparency. Overall, this is a badly maintained villa managed by a poor company that appears to be relying on previous good reviews rather than investing in proper upkeep. As an aside, the location and panoramic views are good, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Villalia may dispute my account, but premium pricing carries expectations. When a property is poorly maintained, repairs are ineffective, and marketing relies on selective, outdated images, the resulting criticism is entirely predictable. Without requesting a refund, I was refunded a considerable sum due to the seriousness of the issues and Villalia’s failures. Make your own conclusions. Photos confirm everything. For a premium-priced villa, standards and safety have clearly slipped and this property should be avoided.
