Our host Abdu was a large factor in making most of our stay in Luxor a pleasant experience.

I visited recently with my sisters and the host Abdu and his hospitality was a highlight of my trip. He took care of our transport to our tourist destinations. He helped us out with arranging breakfast and lunch on 2 occasions, which was extremely appreciated. Any questions or needs that we asked about were handled attentively. We paid a moderate (tourist) price for transport and food, well worth having to avoid negotiating with other drivers. The apartment was very spacious, had air conditioning in the bedrooms and even had a nice view over a banana field. There was a pool available to use at the hotel next to it, which we enjoyed. We really appreciated his hospitality and would recommend anyone staying on the west side to consider staying here.

We arrived at 2am and arranged airport pickup. Unfortunately when we arrived we struggled to get internet access, and our host accidentally picked up the wrong person. An unfortunate circumstance that involved multiple people making a mistake so I won't be too harsh. We found another driver to get us there and had no issues aside from overpaying for that trip. When you are travelling with multiple people for the first time in Egypt and you have to find alternative transport at 2am it is not a pleasant experience. But we managed and we thank our host for his hospitality on the rest of our trip. To get there you have to cross over to the west side and travel down a bumpy dirt road. Not unusual for Egypt but tourists should keep in mind it is not a wealthy country and if you don't take time to plan you may have a poor tourist experience.

Live your dream here in this perfect apartment

A wonderful apartment, with a huge wrap-around balcony overlooking a banana plantation. Perfect place to relax in peaceful surroundings but not cut-off from life on the west bank. Spacious layout inside, with a lot of care given to how the place should look: furniture and decor give a contemporary feel but with some items adding a typically Egyptian touch. Modern, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Everything in the apartment worked well, which in my experience isn't invariably the case in Egypt. You are very well looked after by the owner who is so friendly and easy to talk to. There are a couple of lads on hand ready to offer help at any time. Breakfast taken at adjoining small hotel, outdoors in attractive garden. For 7 dollars you got a lot of different dishes, some Egyptian others more international, all well cooked and presented. Good place too for lunch or dinner: quality excellent. Some items you have to order an hour or two in advance. Hotel pool and gardens there for you when you want. Bikes available and tuk-tuks very easy to come by.
