    We never got our 1250€ deposit back

    We had a good time with family, but the negatives (see below) completely ruined our opinion about the place. The house is nice, split in two floors, main bedroom downstairs. Grill outside, pool, a fully split apartment on the other side of the pool. Kitchen is decently equipped. Location is quiet, hardly any traffic or noise, except construction sites around. A couple of good supermarkets are within 10-15 minutes by car.

    We never got our 1250€ deposit back. We booked through Booking but the property immediately shifted to emails, they sent us a contract with some ridiculous clauses and a payments schedule, which included a deposit for 1250€. We cleared the clauses and paid all payments in term. Left the property mid January after a month long stay, as per contract they had 8 days to return the deposit. Long story short, it’s mid March and after long backs and forths, Booking was so kind to take over the deposit, refunded us the 1250€ and are now doing whatever it is they’re doing to get it back from the property. Thank you Booking. As for the house: Lack of maintenance, many sliding doors didn’t lock properly, if you have kids, that’s an important thing to be careful about in a house with a pool. Even the main garage entrance gate to the street closes badly, you have to be careful and check it really locked. Mosquito nets on windows were broken in almost every window. Water boiler was broken on arrival (was replaced pretty fast) Microwave broke mid-stay (stuff happens but still annoying. Wasn’t replaced, we used the one from the apartment) Some kitchen appliances were dirty (rests of dough on the waffle maker. Not critical, but cleaning service should check better) Hot water tank is small for the amount of guests the house fits. We stayed in winter, with kids and babies, and had to take 2 minute showers and coordinate who-when. The artificial grass outside shows bumps all over from overgrown whatever below it. Again, maintenance.
