Beautiful surroundings but just didn't live up to the listing on here
The setting, the views, and the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very spacious. We were really grateful for the bottle of prosecco in the room to celebrate our honeymoon - thank you!
The staff were not particularly friendly or knowledgeable. The phones in the room did not connect to anything i.e. reception, room service etc. The spa was not open to guests and if you did want to use it you had to pay an extortionate amount extra. You had to pre-book a massage a few days in advance. The pool was advertised as open in our booking confirmation but was closed on arrival - a shame after we booked the hotel for the pool specifically. The hotel is situated quite far our of the the city centre of Florence so a car is a real necessity. The orangery in the restaurant was being used for 3 days for a conference so guests were placed in a dark room for breakfast, and finally on the third morning we were permitted to use the orangery and it was beautiful! It just felt a shame that hotel guests were not prioritised with the hotel facilities. There was no atmosphere/music within the communal areas so it just felt very dull. There was no service on the terrace at night, so we went inside to get our own drinks and no nibbles offered and then took it outside to the terrace with no music. It is such a shame because we were so excited to stay here for our honeymoon but were left pretty deflated and disappointed as it didn't live up to the listing on here.

Le décor et la qualité de la chambre
Que le restaurant ce soir là soit privatisé et qu’il n’y ait pas possibilité d’avoir un room service, ou s’il y était on ne nous l’a pas proposé. Ce qui nous a obligé à sortir le soir pour pouvoir manger. Le prix de 50€ pour notre petit chien yorkshire en supplément de la chambre est exagéré.
