    Lovely huge villa just outside of busy Canggu

    Having a big pool to ourselves was great! The place was secluded off the main hustle and bustle of Canggu which meant that it was quiet. The place itself was pretty good, really big and spacious. It also came with a filtered water unit which was a HUGE plus! Near loads of cafes and restaurants, although you need to use Grab or Gojek quite a bit.

    The biggest issue was that it was next to a building site (which is pretty much the same across Canggu), but the builders often lit small fires to burn rubbish, including plastic. We advised management who got them to stop burning for a time, but started again near the end of the trip. We had to keep the doors closed when this was happening, otherwise the villa smelled of smoke. I’d assume the building won’t take long to compete, but something to be mindful of. It’s pretty normal it appeared for locals to burn rubbish, so many not something isolated to this location. Regardless, I’d still stay in the place again, I’d just tell management about the fires every-time they occurred.
