  Bonita estancia en Alvor

  La casa comoda, limpia, bien decorada y con todo lo necesario para una estancia de 10 y las instalaciones cuidadas en una zona muy tranquila pero a minutos de la playas muy bonitas.

  A lovely and relaxing stay in a very clean and bright apartment with everything we needed!

  Really comfy stay, the bed was great and it was super clean! Pool was lovely and quiet too!

  A little far out from Alvor but easy to get an inexpensive taxi if we sometimes didn’t want to walk.

  Stressful. I would not stay here again.

  Location.

  The experience fell well below expectations, particularly considering the price paid: €1,380 for four nights. The booking was made for four guests, and the property was aware in advance of both the number of guests and their ages — two adults and two teenagers. From the photos and information provided on Booking.com, it was not apparent that all four beds would be placed inside the apartment’s only bedroom. As the apartment also had a living room, I naturally assumed that there would be a sofa bed or another sleeping arrangement outside the bedroom. On arrival, however, we found that all four beds had been placed in the same bedroom, which was approximately 12 m². This meant that four people were sleeping in such a confined space that there was not enough room to move around the beds. For an apartment marketed for four guests, I found this arrangement extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. Had this sleeping configuration been clearly shown in the photos or description, I would not have made the booking. I was also dissatisfied with the way the €400 security deposit was presented. Although the information was technically included in the listing, it was not prominently displayed and was buried among different sections of the Booking.com page. In my view, a condition that effectively determines whether a guest is allowed to check in should be made much more visible. Considering that this was an additional €400 on top of a €1,380 stay, and that access to the property depended on making this payment, I believe this requirement should have been clearly and prominently communicated before booking, rather than placed within secondary information that can easily be overlooked. The deposit was fully refunded at the end of the stay, but the way this condition was communicated left a lot to be desired. Another negative point was the set of house rules presented after the booking as well as a “renting contract” to be signed, which imposed several obligations on guests.
