Most wonderful kind hosts and peaceful paradise in Umbertide
Stuart and Katrina are the kindest, most wonderful hosts. They have the most incredible, tranquil accommodation/land, absolute paradise to stay and enjoy peaceful nature of Umbria. Honestly, the most wonderful generous people, couldn't recommend more. Would love to return!!

Un posto per chi cerca la quiete
Il silenzio è stata la cosa più sorprendente, non ci aspettavamo di trovare un posto così immerso nella quiete della natura. Anche la presenza attenta e discreta di Stuart e Katrina hanno contribuito al senso di pace. La posizione è comunque strategica, perché se si vuole un po' di vita i più famosi borghi dell'Umbria si raggiungono con pochi minuti d'auto, così come il lago Trasimeno. Ci torneremo volentieri, magari con aspettative diverse. La nostra priorità infatti era la piscina, ma ci siamo resi conto che non era il punto forte (acqua bassa, molti insetti, poco curata) mentre la quiete e ciò di cui si può godere al massimo sia nella veranda esterna che nel bel salone interno. L'assenza dell'aria condizionata si è fatta sentire, probabilmente le stagioni diverse dall'estate sono le più adatte. Tutta la proprietà ha un'aria un po' di "managed neglect" dove il corso della natura predomina sugli interventi dell'uomo, il che può ricordare i casali rustici della campagna inglese... questo aspetto può piacere, oppure no, dipende da cosa si cerca.
Per soggiorni più lunghi sarebbe utile avere a disposizione in camera un bollitore per il tè, una macchina per il caffè, un piccolo frigorifero. Il materasso l'abbiamo trovato eccessivamente morbido, ma forse è questione di abitudine.
