Very disappointing
Arrived for 4 nights. Given an inadequate room. When complained was told people either liked that room or didn’t. On 2nd night moved to another room which was quite satisfactory. On arrival member front desk very helpful in getting restaurant reservation and other reservations. I gave her 20 Euro’s. I was made aware on 11th October when I requested taxi to go to station on 12th it was not possible due roads closed. I explained had large heavy suitcase and as I’m aged 81 and would require assistance to station. I commented several times had not been informed of road closures. I would have departed on 11th had I known. The evening of 11th helpful gentleman front desk told me not to worry he would sort something out and would leave notes for morning staff. I went to front desk early am to be told they were waiting to hear from taxi driver. After breakfast I enquired again. I was told impossible for taxis to pick up. When I mentioned again I should have been informed, astonishingly a young front desk lady rather aggressively told me it wasn’t the hotel’s job to inform me, it was up to me to find out. I’m from the UK. How could I have known?? Eventually a really charming gentleman Taco said he would accompany us to the station. He was the life saver. After a short time walking from hotel we found taxi, who took us to station. The whole experience was most stressful Unfortunately I left my iPhone charger in room 115. I had had several conversations with Inma, including room change. Inma was most helpful with a reservation. Again I gave her 20 Euros. On 13th I WhatsApp Irma asking her if charger could be sent to me in Bolonia, where I’m staying until 24th. I also commented we may visit Madrid again in November or December for 1 week. I have received no reply.
