Our stay was 7 nights not six. Very disappointed that we couldn't leave our suitcases at the property. We did get in earlier that 4pm was stated. The guy that was behind the desk wasn't very polite. Abit confused as the name on the building is Royal Aloha not Golden Beach. Macadamia nuts as small gift. Amenities were good and quite spacious. Air conditioning good.
The lifts were rather slow. The Unit wasn't overly clean especially the shower as there was black mould on the ceiling and the shower itself could have been cleaner. We couldn't seem to lock the sliding door as not working like it should. We were up quite high so wasn't a huge issue. The ad said washing machine and dryer in unit. There wasn't but it was good that it was close by. I don't particularly like creepy crawley insects which were fast moving in the cupboard and a couple on the bench - like a miniature 🪳 cockcroach but black. There was a bottle of pest spray in bottle which I used but they continued to return. Also the window slats or louvres as I had asked about could not be closed so this made the noise from the traffic below unbelievable loud. We could not believe how we could hear this so clear. We understand the road was busy. Would have been nice to sit on a settee and not a bed for relaxing. Sorry for complaints but when you have travelled from afar we do expect the place to be good and spotless. Bed ok.
