    The inn was cool but not well kept up. Needs some repairs and TLC. They were out of some food and drink each meal. Not the cleanest.

    The location was perfect for what we came there for. The property itself is very old and needs a total renovation. The carpet throughout the facility was filthy and the mildew smell was everywhere. The people we met where very friendly and the staff was very nice. We stayed because there was no where else to stay. Not to mention the annoying siren. For a moment we thought it was "The Purge". The hotel needs a lot of work. Sorry, just being honest...

    Lovely little inn with friendly staff. Very cozy and clean room. Unfortunately next to a fire station which lead to a panic when I heard the sirens about midnight.

    I loved this place. There was an update in 2016 and someone made the mistake of getting white carpet. Live and learn. The bed was comfortable, there was a variety of pillows, the tavern shuts down at 9:00 so its all quiet by 11:00 p.m. The tavern is superb. I’d eat there again in a heartbeat. The place is old and has some quirks and that’s something that you either like because you like historical places or you don’t because you like modern things. I’d stay here again.

    The Historic nature of the property is the NUMBER ONE REASON to stay and return! It's 270 years old AND George Washington and his family DID ACTUALLY STAY THERE!!! The property has all the indications of that advanced age and it is charming and fun. Clean, spacious rooms with updated lovely en-suite. We intend to return in May 2023.
