A lovely clean, well equiped house. Stunning views across Holes Bay nature reserve. I was lucky enough to see foxes at night, and during the day, one of the neighbouring houses had several visits from a family of swans. It was a joy to watch them come swimming up the bay, plod across the mud and reeds and up the banking to the front of the houses. The swans sounded like they had flip-flops on as they walked along!
That we had to leave at the end of our stay!

Fabulous location and very comfortable.
Fabulous view, well appointed, very warm! The bed was very comfortable and the area very quiet. Good parking.

Fabulous location - just needs a few "comfort" touches.
Perfect location for avid bird-watchers - such a variety of sea birds, waders, and waterfowl - and all in sight from the front garden! Great sunrises across the bay - we enjoyed our morning coffee outside to capture the view (nice seating area outside) It's also a great place if you've got a dog - lots of lovely space to explore. Resident local swan family (parents and 5 signets) who came up out of the water each morning. So, from a location perspective, this was a birders heaven! Great food at a local pub too (The Bakers Arms), and will definitely return for more of that next time! Would also recommend The King's Arms in Wareham - their braised steak with red wine sauce was amazing! Having onsite parking was also a bonus.
The comfort aspect of this property was somewhat lacking. The sofa was more like a bench design/no arms, and the scatter cushions weren't very padded/soft - so you couldn't really curl up and watch a film in any comfort. A footstool might have helped, and some nicer cushions? The mattress on the bed was way too hard for my hips, and I really struggled to sleep, as I simply couldn't get comfortable. I know that some folks like a firm bed, but I did suggest to the owner that he invests in an optional deep matress-topper, which could be used by those guests who've got more delicate (aka old) joints - and just stored in the wardrobe when not being used.

Cosy small house, abit over priced
Small, comfortable and ideal location for our needs
Needed to supply either more or larger towels. Some leaflets and info on what’s in the local area would be nice.
