Delightful cottage in a great location

Lovely cottage in a great location. Very cosy living room with comfortable seating, good sized and very well equipped kitchen, everything beautifully appointed. Decent wifi, and comfortable bedding. It's very useful to have a washing machine and separate dryer - washing liquid etc is provided as are dishwasher tablets. There's also a cupboard with plenty of condiments, as well as flour, sugar, gravy powder, even marmite! It was nice to get a hamper on arrival too. Games and puzzles are also provided, as well as Netflix etc. There's a small co-op just a minute walk over the road, and the village is very central for the north Pennines - numerous sights within a fairly short drive. Martin and Fiona kept me very well informed throughout, I would definitely recommend staying here.

The beds are very hard, the option of a mattress topper might help with that. Parking can be a bit challenging occasionally, but we managed even though the very polite man over the road asks us to move at one point.

    Loved everything about it!

The cottage was extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Its location meant we could do a variety of walks straight from the door.

    Nothing.

Gorgeous cottage in the heart of the north pennines

Beautiful cottage in a very central location in the North pennines. We loved the comfy beds and superbly equipped kitchen. Wildlife was abundant in the surrounding area, in particular black grouse along the road joining Daddry shield and new biggin. Other wildlife included red grouse, siskin, Merlin, golden plover and plenty of hares.

    Everything was great.
