No Problems, But Not Worth $400+
I'm giving four stars because there was nothing wrong except the price. This hotel is priced in the $400's (during our visit in August 2026), but the guest and room experience is equivalent to a newly remodeled roadside motel. There are no frills at all for this price. The location is excellent within Grand Lake, and the rooms are freshly remodeled. But that's where the effort stops. The rooms are very basic for this price point, the office is closed at night and until 9AM, so good luck if you arrive late or lock yourself out of your room. There is nowhere to sit in the room except on the bed. There are patio tables on the deck, and while I could see patio umbrellas piled up at the far end of the parking lot, there was no effort to erect the umbrellas which made the deck pretty uncomfortable during the heat of the day. I get that this is a resort destination and a short season, but we also stayed two nights in Estes Park at a hotel with an equally ideal location, and that room was $130 cheaper and provided hot tub, breakfast, microwave, refrigerator, bottled water, and may more amenities.

Updated nicely renovated
Love this place! Happy to see the updated renovations made. Nicely done. Looks like they are continuing with more improvements. So comfortable being lake front, walkable and the views are the highlights. We will stay again.

You have to stay here!!’
Wonderful place. Newly remodeled this spring with a new tiled walk in shower, pine wood ceiling with beams, small retro looking fridge and perfect views of lake. Retro looking motel with chairs outside to enjoy the view. Very clean. I will always pick this place to stay at when visiting grand lake. Some recommendations to the owners is to have blow dryers, more hooks for towels, add an extra trash can and microwave. I have a feeling this place will just get better and better.

The location is great.
The 2 room suite didn't have doors between the rooms and the bathroom sink area. Other than that it was fine.
