    Lovely and historic

Loved the location and the history

Quite a lot of spiders and cobwebs by the beams

    Immigrants not wanted

Characterful historic inn and pub, comfortable room, excellent food and draft ales.

As an immigrant, I didn't appreciate the chat at reception this morning (14/10/26, 9.30 am) about how "immigrants are ruining the country". Will not be returning to a place where me and my fellow immigrants are clearly not wanted.

    Great place to stay

The location in the High Street and the historic building. The staff were friendly. The evening meal was good. The ambience in the smaller restaurant area was great. The room was quiet. It was spacious and nicely decorated with a comfy bed and large ensuite bathroom in a separate building.

Breakfast was ok. Would have liked some fresh fruit and I had to ask for plain yoghurt. Otherwise it was generous and good quality.

Wished we could have stayed longer.

Loved the location. Loved the old wooden beams. Great breakfast

Only slight issue was the shower rose wasn’t working evenly
