" This rustic inn and resort offers comfortable rooms with modern amenities including free Wi-Fi, mini refrigerators, coffee makers, and cable TV. Whitney's inn offers a heated outdoor pool and lounge area with yard games such as ping pong, horseshoes and cornhole. In the summer and fall the outdoor fishing pond is open for guests to enjoy kayaking, fishing and campfires. Breakfast is not offered at Whitney's inn. Dinner is served in the family friendly Shovel Handle Pub Wednesday - Friday from 5:00pm - 10:00pm. Dinner is not offered any other days. Local attractions include Black Mountain Ski area less than 1 mile away and Story Land amusement park less than 4 miles away.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance.     Very enjoyable overall!

    Liked everything, except…

    Breakfast (I assume you mean the continental breakfast near the reception desk) could use a little upgrade … better quality muffins and somewhat larger coffee cups.
