  Unfortunately, our experience this year was extremely disappointing, particularly considering that this was our third year using Wiggins Self Catering with our work team. We paid the accommodation upfront to secure the unit, and naturally expected the basic facilities advertised to be available. However, from the time we arrived on Friday until we left on Sunday, we had no hot/warm water in Unit 5. We reported the issue after collecting the keys, but there was no one on site to properly assist us. On Saturday morning, the problem was still unresolved. I was forced to use a mop bucket and kettle to have what can only be described as a “cowboy wash.” From a hygiene and personal-care perspective, this was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. As a male and female colleague were sharing the accommodation, the lack of access to proper washing facilities affected both of us differently, and my female colleague was ultimately unable to wash properly at all. I personally walked from Unit 5 to the main house and spoke to the lady there, who was with her young son. She advised me that she would inform someone to come and inspect the problem. We waited approximately two hours, but nobody came. We eventually had to continue with our planned schedule for the day without being able to properly wash. When we returned later, it appeared that someone had been attending to something at the back of the unit, but there was still no hot water and no communication regarding what had been done or when the problem would be resolved. What was particularly disappointing was that no alternative unit, alternative washing arrangement, compensation, or other meaningful solution was offered despite the issue being reported. If the hot water could not be repaired immediately, we would have expected the owners/management to at least provide an alternative solution.

  The place and scenery was amazing

  We had to leave a day earlier due to unforseen circumstances. Wish we could be partially refunded for having to leave early, as it wasn't planned
