  Rapport qualité prix décevant

  La nourriture était très bonne, les tentes et la salle de bain étaient très confortables et le lieu est au milieu de la nature. Je vous recommande le safari en bateau que propose l’hôtel.

  Ce qui nous a poser le plus gros problème est le manager de l’hôtel. C’est très compliqué d’obtenir des informations et des réponses, il est fuyant comme une anguille. Attention, certaines tentes ferment mal et donc vous êtes vite envahit par les moustiques

  Luxury glamping site with excellent food

  Nice village atmosphere. Comfortable glamping tents, even with aircon. Very good food throughout - the tastiest curries we have eaten in Sri Lanka so far. The chef kept coming out to talk to us, which we enjoyed. Enjoyable boat safari, with an excellent guide.

  Dreadful communication in the weeks before we arrived. A previous reviewer had said that he missed out on the boat safari because it had not been booked. I tried email, phone, WhatsApp messaging and Booking.com messaging but struggled to get a reply, apart from one early message to say that the park had not confirmed the safari and that they would let me know asap, which they didn’t! In the event, it went ahead and we enjoyed it a lot, but we arrived not knowing whether it had been booked, which was disappointing, given that the safari was one of the main reasons for choosing Wild Glamping. We had also asked to be booked for the cultural experience on the night we arrived, but this request got lost in the system somewhere. The staff suggested doing it after the boat safari the next evening, but we were tired and chose to rest instead. The swimming pool was so warm that it really wasn’t refreshing to swim in. Lighter coloured tiles on the bottom might reduce this, as the bottom was very hot in the sun. There was quite a bit of mould in our daughter’s tent and some in ours, which could have been effectively treated with some vinegar, and the netting doors on our tent had been patched extensively but were still splitting - all a bit surprising in a property at the upper end of the price range in Sri Lanka. Apart from the non-existing communication, none of these are major concerns - we really enjoyed our stay, especially the food!

  Highly recommended for the safari

  Very quiet place in the middle of the nature. We came here for the Gal Oya boat and jeep safari, and we were not disappointed. We saw many elephants and other wildlife in excellent conditions. The people are super friendly, and the food is also excellent. We had a great stay

  Nice like the pictures.

  The service was great. Staff were very helpful and there were informative naturalists. Facilities are nice like in the photos. Bonus points for the outdoor showers!

  The food was good but there was not a great deal of choice. Espresso coffee is not included as part of meals, you must pay extra for that despite saying tea and coffee is included with meals. The national park / boat safari tour was just ok for me.
