    A few minor details that need to be mentioned, but overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of the

    The extras such as toiletries, towels, teas & coffees were a nice touch, the location ideal for what we wanted.

    No toilet roll was provided, given the property provides toiletries and towels you would expect toilet roll to be included. This proved very difficult as there’s no local shop near by. Also the guide book states local pub in walking distance, which we walked to only to find it had been closed down since June, therefore maybe this needs to be updated.

    Beautiful stay in Great Salkeld

    The location of the house is perfect and there is a car park there (most of the time it was full in the evenings). The house itself is good and it is quiet (and there are good blackout blinds in one of the bedroom). It is a beautiful house. Scott was very helpful during our stay. Loved swimming in the river Eden (Lucy's caves)..

    The house needs a little bit of upgrading in the bathroom. But it is fine for holidays ☺️ Also bigger saucepans and bowls as we were cooking for 5 and they were too small.

    Would love to return in summer

    It was a charming little cottage. Nice & close to the pub & other sites we wanted to visit.

    User error but we couldn’t get the bedrooms heating working. Also had issues with using the shower however I would hasten to add I would also put that down to our unfamiliarity with British plumbing systems.
