    Spotless Cottage and Exceptional Hospitality

    Our stay was exceptional thanks to Arlene and Jan, who were wonderful hosts right from the booking stage. Their communication was quick and helpful, and they made our family feel very welcome when we arrived. We also enjoyed chatting with Jan’s husband — learned a surprising amount about farming :) The accommodation was immaculate and very well looked after. We appreciated all the luxuries around the cottage: free eggs, biscuits, tea/coffee, and lovely bathroom toiletries. The farm setting is peaceful and perfectly placed just off the main road, with an easy 1.5‑mile walk into Peebles for food and drinks. We booked Ploughman’s Rest, which comfortably sleeps four adults. We were attending the Tour o the Borders bike ride, and the location couldn’t have been better. The bike store was ideal for both prepping and storing our bikes. We’d absolutely recommend staying here and will happily book again. Thank you Arlene and Jan for a fantastic visit!
