The personnel got back in touch the next day to apologise for the situation

Unfortunately this could have been just a miss understanding. It was close to midnight when we arrived at the location. The door would not unlock (through the app key we received). I tried calling the location but no answer. I called booking com and they tried calling the location too but they did not got any answer either. Eventually I cancelled the accommodation without even entering. I can understand that issues with the door can happen, but there should be someone answering the phone in case of emergencies
