    Absolutely everything was perfect. We 100% recommend that you take a break at Woodlands Country House and Cottage. Food is to die for, everywhere is spotless, hosts are lovely.

    Darryl and Naomi were incredibly welcoming, and Darryl's food is absolutely top notch (and comes in generous portions!). Whilst the location is a little remote, it was exactly what we needed. The room itself was great, with plenty of space and comfort - easily the best night's sleep of our tour through the Lake District.

    No mobile reception in the village (except, apparently, EE) so make sure you know where you're going before you lose signal. But that's really more of a me problem than anything wrong with Woodlands.

    Perfect, peaceful, comfortable stay close enough to and far enough away for a lot of the lakes

    Owners were beyond brilliant, we arrived late and left super early but they still could not do enough for us, we have a packed breakfast/ lunch ready for us as requested before 5am. Room was huge bed was comfortable, clean, and Super peaceful. Would definitely recommend and stay again
