Wasn’t a ‘bad’ stay by any means - the whole hotel could do with some maintenance & upgrade
I liked the old worldly feel (traditional)
The rooms are in need of an upgrade for sure. The wallpaper is peeling, there is a bit of a damp smell too. Shower also needs updating.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Strong 4-Star Experience, but Definitely Not a 5-Star Hotel

⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Strong 4-Star Experience, but Definitely Not a 5-Star Hotel Overall, the hotel has potential, and the staff were pleasant and the shuttle service convenient. However, several areas need significant improvement before the hotel can meet the standards expected of a five-star property. The coffee quality was disappointing, and the breakfast selection was repetitive and not particularly suitable for a traditional breakfast. The options mainly consisted of noodles, fried rice, and various bakery items, with very little choice of good-quality, fresh fruit. In fact, we eventually gave up on our included breakfast and had to eat elsewhere at an additional cost, as we simply could not face eating the same type of food every morning throughout our stay. A more varied breakfast menu, better coffee, and a wider selection of fresh fruit would make a considerable difference. The hotel would also benefit greatly from renovations and upgrades, particularly to the building itself and its plumbing facilities. The TV service was poor, with no international channels available and no Smart TVs in the rooms. These are basic modern conveniences that one would expect from a hotel aspiring to a higher standard. Another area requiring attention is the service around the restaurant, pool, and beach, particularly during dinner hours. On one occasion, our table was left covered with used plates and glasses because, apparently, the staff had finished their shifts. This happened before 9:30 p.m., which is surprisingly early for a hotel of this category. There should be sufficient staff remaining on duty to clear tables promptly and maintain proper hygiene, especially in outdoor areas where insects are flying around. This is not simply a matter of service quality but also of cleanliness and basic hygiene standards. On a positive note, the staff were generally pleasant, and the shuttle service was convenient and appreciated. In conclusion, this is a strong four-star experience, but now
