    Overall this was a very comfortable stay at the end of a two-week trip.

    This was the best of the nine places I stayed during a two-week trip from Fife to Sussex and back. Large, quiet, attractive room with excellent facilities: fridge, microwave, and toaster; plant-based milk as well as regular milk for coffees and teas; salt & pepper. Good wifi. Friendly host. It is in a quite isolated spot on a farm but was easy to find with a sat-nav. Lovely views.

    The heating is externally controlled. This wasn't a problem during my stay but might be an issue for some who are sensitive to the cold. Check-out was by 10am, which suited me fine that morning but is relatively early for a B&B. 10:30 or 11am is generally preferable.
