I would stay there again.
Comfortable room with modern touches. Lovely atmosphere.
A little difficult to find however our taxi driver was amazing and rang the property to confirm location.

It was a magical experience- a huge thank you to the staff!
This is a charming traditional courtyard that is very well restored. Although in an historic building, the hotel has every modern convenience and high quality bed linen, towels, and toiletries. The staff are lovely and could not do enough to help - even bringing warm milk at bedtime. I loved this hotel. It gives a much more authentic experience than any of the five star international chains but at the same time there is no compromise with comfort. I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to spend time in the heart of Beijing’s hutongs

One of our best memories of China
The hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations, which were already high. The staff is very kind and caring, and getting back to the hotel at the end of the day felt like being welcomed back home. Beijing was our first destination in China, after that we travelled to other cities and hotels but none surpassed the level of hospitality of this one. We spent the rest of our trip missing the hotel, the staff, the food, and, of course, the birds! Thank you for everything!
