A nice place to escape to
A lovely well-equipped and well-maintained studio that's isolated away from the bustle of Barmouth but easily a short drive away from key sites in the Snowdonia National Park area. A very comfortable stay. Friendly host.
Just worth people noting that while Booking.com lists check-in times as across the day, it is actually only from 5.00pm onwards. Not a negative as such, but important to know when planning trips.

Excellent location. Amazing views once you walk through garden. Read documentation thoroughly
Location is excellent, and even with the main road into Barmouth behind the property, you don't really hear the traffic and it remains a generally peaceful place. The bonus is once you walk through the orchard and are greeted by the river views. Spectacular!!
The documentation sent by the owner is comprehensive, requires careful reading and very helpful. However, on arrival - its a bit confusing as the picture of the property must have been taken when it was first refurbished some years ago, as the Studio is now painted green and nature has softened the surroundings which is a good thing. But when you first arrive you wonder if you're in the right place and there is no view of the river from the table outside the Studio. By way of feedback to assist, a shelf in the bathroom for toiletry bags would be helpful (especially for the ladies), somewhere to hang wet towels (there is a towel rail, but thats only big enough for 1 towel) and perhaps a wall-mounted coat hanger as there is no wardrobe (we had a wedding to attend so had nowhere to hang our suit/dress). One last recommendation - especially in summer - is to add blinds to the 2 windows in the kitchen which flood the room with "first light" and an early morning wake-up, whether you want it or not.🤷♂️🤣
