  Beautiful property, terrible service

  The home itself is conveniently located close to the train station and the upstairs bedrooms are beautifully renovated in a traditional Japanese style.

  The check in process was arduous and we were unable to complete the process on our android phones despite trying several times over 2 days. I resorted to emailing copies of our passports, along with screenshots of us confirming the booking terms and conditions, detailing our trouble submitting online. I requested that they accept the email and confirm we are able to check in, or to contact me if anything further was needed. I received a quick reply however they simply advised me to click a button I already explained wasn't working. When we arrived at the property we were unable to contact the host on our UK phones and our emails and messages on booking.com were unanswered. We were lucky that a neighbouring family spotted us and offered to help. They called the host and passed the phone to me. The man I spoke to on the phone became frustrated with me very quickly and resorted to repeatedly shouting the same instructions at me even after I explained the new link sent had been received but still isn't working. It became impossible to get anywhere so I passed the phone back to the family helping and asked them to explain. They were then provided with the door code and we were finally able to enter the property. Inside, we were eventually able to use the new link to view the full website with check in and house rules tab on an apple phone. In total we were stuck outside the property for about an hour. Once inside we were unable to connect to the internet and there was no hot water. In the morning we read on the check out instructions as we were leaving that we had to turn the boiler off and deduced the boiler was still off from the last guests. At this point it was too close to check out so we all went without showers. It would be helpful if a note that the boiler should be turned on for hot water was included in the check in instructions too.

  Fantastic large house near the train and bus station with lots of room.

  We had a great time staying here. It is large, and has a separate dining room and huge kitchen, plus very comfortable bedrooms. The bathroom is great, and the toilet is in its own room. We definitely recommend this: it’s very close to the train and bus station, and there’s a lovely bakery across the road.
