    Beautiful location, nice private spa and hammock on verandah, comfortable bed and clean bathroom.

    Breakfast coffee was cold and overall a little on the pricey side.

    A peaceful and relaxing escape amongst the trees

    We had such a lovely and relaxing stay. The property is in a beautiful, peaceful location surrounded by trees, which immediately made it feel like a little escape from everything. One of the absolute highlights was the huge spa bath on our private balcony. Such a thoughtful touch was that a staff member had already filled it before we arrived, so it was full of beautiful hot water and ready for us to enjoy when we got there. Given how large the bath is and how long it takes to fill, this was incredibly thoughtful and such a lovely way to start our relaxing weekend away. Our room was charming and comfortable, and we loved being able to sit out on the balcony amongst the trees with a glass of wine. The shared central area was also really cosy, particularly being able to sit by the fire and read in the evening. Having access to a fridge for small snacks and drinks, along with coffee-making facilities, was really handy. Overall, it was such a peaceful place to slow down, switch off and enjoy a relaxing weekend together.

    Some parts of the property are a little dated and could probably benefit from some TLC, but nothing significant enough to negatively affect our stay. We actually found that the slightly rustic feel added to some of its charm. It is also worth knowing that the spa bath takes quite a long time to fill simply because it is so large! The size of the bath is actually one of its best features, so this isn’t really a negative — just something worth planning for. If you’re wanting a bath later in the evening, start filling it well in advance.
