I booked a 4 bed dorm for sole occupancy. The room was exactly as I expected... Clean with a comfy bunk bed and decent bedding. The kitchen and dining areas were clean and I enjoyed relaxing in the sitting room and chatting to other guests.
Unfortunately the parking is quite limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. If you are unlucky enough not to get a space you have to park down the road in town ( at cost) and walk back up to the hostel which isn't great on tired legs after a long walk or in bad weather. Limited facilities for the number of guests. Hard to get a shower at peak times because as well as those staying in the dorm rooms there are also groups camping who come in to use the facilities.

Picturesque stay right in the centre of Grasmere
Location was ideal - right in the centre of town. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The WiFi was slightly patchy.

Pleasant
Only thing if I was picky was the lack of parking 😎

For the convenience worth the money- self catering kitchen ok too with large dining room available.
Good access to Grasmere village - we had a cycling event planned, 5 mins to the village pubs, shops, hotel bars etc. Car parking was free for guests which was good.
Car parking rather limited but allowed to park up the drive way with a van so turned out ok. The hostel needs a sign post at the bottom of the road where it turns off from the village, difficult to find and sat nav very vague. We asked for directions from the Co-op.
