  Extremely Unprofessional Host – Disappointing and Unpleasant Experience

  The ambience is good

  My experience with the host, Rajeewa, was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, one of the worst experiences I have had during my long years of travelling. After booking the property online, Rajeewa contacted me on WhatsApp. I had a few questions regarding my stay and the facilities, but despite seeing my messages, he did not respond until after I had checked in. When I arrived at the property, he asked whether I had arranged a jungle safari. I told him that since he had not responded to my WhatsApp messages, I had already made the booking online. He then asked how much I had paid and said that he could arrange it at a lower price. I politely told him that my safari was already booked. I also asked him about dinner. He said that there was no staff available that night and that perhaps he could arrange dinner the following night. Therefore, I went out for dinner. When I returned, I met him at the reception, where he also resides. During our brief conversation, I clearly told him that I would have dinner at his property the following evening. He then asked about my breakfast and lunch, and I explained that both were already included in my safari arrangements. My safari was scheduled to start at 6:00 AM the next morning. About 20 minutes before departure, Rajeewa came to me and said that my safari vehicle had arrived. I was completely surprised because I had already arranged and paid for my safari independently. When my own booked safari driver arrived around 10 minutes before 6:00 AM, I discovered that Rajeewa had also independently booked another safari for me without my confirmation or consent. I questioned him as to why he had done this. He replied that because he had offered me a competitive rate, he assumed that I had cancelled my original booking. I clearly explained that I had never confirmed his safari booking, nor had I told him that I wanted him to arrange one.

  Super endroit !!

  C’était super !! Emplacement incroyable. Vue sur le lac avec possibilité de faire du canoë et de se baigner. Merci Yonan pour ta gentillesse durant ce séjour et pour le cadeau quand nous sommes partis !!

  tolle Ausgangsbasis für Udawalawe - Safaris mit Seezugang/Bademöglichkeit.

  Sehr netter Besitzer, der sehr hilfsbereit ist. Es können Safaris organisiert werden (Udawalawe Nationalpark, sehr empfehlenswert, weil nicht so überlaufen wie Yala). Das Quartier liegt traumhaft als einzelne Appartmenthäuser in einem Palmengarten mit direktem Seezugang. Im See kann man baden (sehr erfrischend, keine Krokodile) oder mit einem Paddelboot fahren). Das Frühstück wird traditionell Sri-Lanka-Style serviert und in großer Menge. Das Quartier liegt schön ruhig, man kann aber trotzdem mit wenigen Schritten ins Zentrum gehen (z.B zur Elefanten Sanctuary)
