This place looks exactly like the photos which is amazing. It's a 2-5 mins walk to multiple public transport options. Neighbourhood was quiet and residential. Receiving our luggage before we arrived was super helpful. Washer/dryer was very useful.
It's not very soundproof. It is generally a quiet street, but we were woken up every night by loud street noise/vehicles. Still, absolutely worth it for how cool and unique the experience of staying here was (and recommended to try), but if we go back to Kyoto, I'd stay somewhere I can get a better sleep.

Lovely traditional Kyoto stay
For three adult women travelling together, having a whole house to ourselves in Kyoto was a luxury. One of us slept on a futon in the downstairs dayroom / living room near the kitchen, while the other two were upstairs in the Western single beds. We enjoyed having a full kitchen complete with a fridge and washing machine, a Japanese wet room bathroom and a separate toilet for convenience. The air condition machines in every room worked like a wonder, which was essential for combating the summer heat.
To be expected with this sort of accommodation, I suppose, but we did not appreciate being met by a giant cockroach on the second floor of the house on arrival, before we had even moved our bags upstairs. We also saw smaller ones during the remainder of our stay. This was probably the only major con of this stay.
