    Sub basic apartment

    Easy checkin

    This apartment/stay was so bad we considered leaving and going to another hotel during the night. Luckily we were only there one night. Ran out of hot water after one shower, no hot water the following morning. No bottom sheet for the bed, only a mattress protector and one bed sheet (which we used as a fitted sheet) and no bath mat. Dysfunctional air conditioning unit. We had the temperature on 16 degrees (cool, fan high) to try cool down, though it was still boiling inside the room. No fly screens on the bathroom window and no extraction fan, which meant we were attacked by mosquitoes all night. Because there was no bedsheet, we ended up using our bath towels to cover our bare skin. Apartment didn’t feel clean. Left over bottles of miscellaneous soaps from previous guest and a dirty kitchen mat. One entry key/light swipe. You could only open or close the door if you had the key, so to open the door at night you had to take the key out of the power switch which meant you had to use the light from your phone just to unlock the door. The only bonus of this apartment was the ‘location’, being proximity to the immediate shops etc. It’s still a 30 minute drive from the airport which you can expect to pay around 30 euros with taxi.
