    The terrace, staff, breakfast and oversized rooms were great. The location and the terrace overlooking the garden were beautiful.

    The temperature of the room did not fully cool down at all. The carpeting in the dining area needs to be professionally cleaned or replaced, some of the accessories in the fireplace were awkward.

    Ad Astra was such a special stay in Florence. The hotel feels intimate, stylish, and thoughtfully curated, with so much charm in every detail. We loved the calm setting and the beautiful terrace views over the gardens, it felt peaceful while still being an easy walk to the heart of the city.

    Lovely location and friendly staff

    We enjoyed our two night stay at the Ad Astra. The neighborhood is great - away from the tourist hordes, yet walkable to all the sites. The staff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the gardens was lovely. The hotel is quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious, clean and well-equipped.

    Really our only complaint about the room was the air conditioning. The weather was hot (35c during the day) and the air conditioning was not adequate for the room. Even with maximum cooling turned on all day and night, the room was still 25C when we went to bed - too warm for a good night’s sleep. One other small thing: though the hotel looks out on the stunning Torrigiani Gardens, the gardens are private and access is strictly prohibited.
