  Beautiful, peaceful and full of character

  Very clean, comfortable and clearly created with a lot of care and attention to detail. The apartment is very well equipped, including excellent AC, insect screens and a dishwasher. The two terraces are beautiful, private and cozy, with a lovely view over the Matala bay. The location is perfect: you blink and reach the beach, tavernas, bakery, shops etc. while still quiet at night. I also really appreciated the welcome with fruit and drinks, the easy parking access and the help with my suitcase both on arrival and departure. Communication with the host was excellent and very prompt. The whole place feels personal and carefully put together, making it especially nice for a longer stay.

  The bathroom is open to the room upstairs rather than fully separated by a door, which may be worth considering depending on who you’re travelling with.

  Localisation parfaite et très belles terrasses vue mer !

  La location est parfaite, au cœur de Matala avec une jolie vue sur la mer et les grottes. Une place de parking est inclue à quelques minutes à pied. Le lit est très grand et confortable et les terrasses sont au top ! Commerces à pied (supérette et boulangerie) Conseil : aller à la Red beach !!

  L’agencement de la salle de bain / toilettes est un peu surprenant et nécessite un peu d’organisation (tout est ouvert sur la chambre). Mais on s’adapte !

  Un soggiorno da sogno

  Tutto è stato a dir poco perfetto. L’appartamento è nuovo ed è dotato di ogni comfort. La vista è spettacolare! Dopo un tour de force nella parte ovest di Creta abbiamo rinunciato a girare per le spiagge nei dintorni di Matala per goderci del sano relax e l’appartamento in tal senso ha svolto perfettamente la sua parte. Siamo partiti dopo tre notti a malincuore. Prenotate senza pensarci neanche un secondo!

  Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen.

  Die Lage ist wirklich sehr gut - 2 Minuten vom Parkplatz und ebenso in den Ort. Die Wohnung ist neu renoviert, supersauber und hat einen tollen Ausblick auf das Meer, die Bucht und den Strand. Die Küche ist wirklich gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man zum Kochen bräuchte. Der Kühlschrank war bei unserer Ankunft gut mit Getränken gefüllt: Wein, Bier, Wasser und Softdrinks. Ebenso stand ein umfangreicher Obstkorb bereit.

  Leider war die Toilette im Schlafzimmer integriert, nur durch einen kleinen Mauervorsprung getrennt. Und der "Kleiderschrank" war nicht mehr als eine Nische mit einer kurzen Kleiderstange.

  Eine tolle Urlaubswoche in einer außergewöhnlichen Unterkunft in Matala!

  Ein sehr gut ausgestattetes und modern eingerichtetes Apartment, wo man merkt, dass der nette Eigentümer sehr viel Herzblut reingelegt hat. Top-Ausstattung (Geschirrspüler, Kaffeemaschine und sogar Waschmaschine), große Dusche, riesengroßes und bequemes Bett. Highlight ist die Aussicht auf die Bucht von Matala direkt nach dem aufwachen. Was man wissen sollte, dass man seine Koffer selbst zur Wohnung transportieren muss, da man durch Matala nur zu Fuß kommt. Kostenloser Parkplatz in der Nähe ist verfügbar, falls man ein Mietauto hat. Zentrale Lage oberhalb der lebhaften Hauptgasse, aber eigentlich trotzdem ruhig (man hört ab und zu die Musik).

  Keine Mülltrennung in Matala, wobei dafür der Gastgeber nichts kann. Und in der direkten Nachbarschaft wird scheinbar kein großer Wert auf Sauberkeit gelegt, aber das ist ja oft in Griechenland so und macht vermutlich den südländischen Flair mit aus.
